What Happened
- The arrest took place in Fort Bend County, Texas, at a residence in Rosharon.
- Law enforcement says the charge is assault on a family or household member, specifically alleging that Beverley impeded the person’s breathing or circulation.
- Bail was set at $40,000, which Beverley posted.
Beverley’s Response
- On social media, Beverley pushed back against parts of the reporting, urging people not to believe everything online.
- He reposted a statement (originally shared by his attorney) that framed his actions as protective rather than abusive: according to the statement, Beverley “unexpectedly found” his minor sister alone in the home with an 18-year-old man late at night.
- The statement went on to say they “don’t believe what followed happened the way it’s been described” and that Beverley intends to contest the allegations in court.
- His attorney, Letitia Quinones‑Hollins, emphasized Beverley has no prior criminal record.
