Everyone remembers classic albums. When it comes to timeless pieces of art like Reasonable Doubt and Get Rich or Die Trying. However, with the music industry being as oversaturated as it currently is, it is easy for some great albums to go unnoticed. Here are four albums that deserve a second listen.

The Game – The Documentary
Most people know the Game for his social media antics. And that is unfortunate because those antics have often overshadowed one of rap’s best discographies to date. Game burst on the scene when 50 rolled him out as one of the members of G-Unit. And his debut album, The Documentary, was one of the best rookie rollouts ever. Tracks like Hate It or Love It and Dreams are still being played today.
Jay-Z & Kanye West, Watch The Throne
Watch the Throne didn’t just represent an album. It was almost a culture shift. It led to several other collaboration albums in the 2010s such as Drake and Future’s What a Time to Be Alive, and Gunna and Lil Baby’s Drip Harder. In addition, songs like Otis, H.A.M., and N***as in Paris, have become timeless tracks that are still relevant today. Kanye and Jay aren’t as close as they once were so it’s likely we won’t get a Watch the Throne 2, which makes it even more of a classic.
Lloyd Banks – Hunger For More
G-Unit is widely considered one of the greatest groups of all time. And that is due in large to the chokehold they had on the rap game in the early 2000s. If 50 Cent was the LeBron James of G-Unit, then Lloyd Banks played the role of Dwyane Wade. Banks put the game on notice when he dropped his debut album, Hunger For More. It was the perfect combination of storytelling, delivery, and imagery that touched on several subjects. From shootouts to love stories, Banks had listeners drawn in from the intro to the outro.
Lil Baby, Gunna – Drip Harder
The two may no longer see eye to eye. But at one point Lil Baby and Gunna were considered one of the best rap duos in the game. The Atlanta duo linked up to create a collab album, Drip Harder in 2018. This album, in a lot of ways, started a renaissance for Atlanta Music. Hits such as Drip Too Hard, Close Friends, and Never Recover, are still club bangers to this day. With Gunna and Baby still beefing, it’s not likely that we will be getting a follow-up project any time soon. But we’ll always have Drip Harder, to remember the good times.
