Freddie Gibbs Hits Back at Drake
In his latest social media post, Gibbs appeared to aim at the Canadian-born artist. Over his recent warning. In the message, the Grammy winner states that he is ready to step into his “next chapter,” seemingly ending his rift with Kendrick Lamar.
“U know I grew up nonconfrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore,” Drake wrote in the post.
“I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity, not charity that answers some questions, especially about the unanswered texts you’ve been sending me.”
Gibbs then responded to Drake’s message from his burner account reposting it with several yawning emojis.
Gibbs appears to want the smoke with Drizzy following the release of his latest album. Drake and Party Next Door dropped their collab album $ome $exy $songs 4 U on Valentines Day.
Following the release of the album Gibbs slammed the album after noticing that there were cartoon rabbits on the back of the album. Gibbs often goes by the name “Big Rabbit.”
Gibbs’ longtime running mate, Bootleg Kev then revealed that Drake had previously connected with Gibbs and at one point even discussed doing a feature for one of his albums.
“Little known story Drake met @FreddieGibbs when he was working on $$$. Even had talks of hopping on the album!” Bootleg Kev said.
“He’s very hip and aware of the wave! I took the only pic of Freddie and Drake that exists too! Some light biting happening for sure.”
