Freeway, was only 37 years old when he found out that he had a life threatening kidney problem. At first the symptoms he thought were nervous jitters that many artist get right before it’s time to perform. He felt extremely exhausted, had trouble holding down food, and felt like he was having a panic attack, but didn’t understand why.
Then, during a routine check-up in September 2015, the Freeway was hit with news that no one his age expects. He needed emergency dialysis in order to save his life.
“I had a routine physical with my primary care doctor, I gave blood one day and I went on the road for the weekend. Then I came back and I was at home lying in bed and I got a call from my primary care physician who told me to get to the closest emergency room because my levels was off. My kidney functions was real low and everything was just out of wack. I didn’t know what it was. I was just in tears.” Freeway says.
Freeway is now in dire need of a kidney transplant as he shares his doctor visit on Instagram.
