The New York Knicks’ comeback win over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday Night (June 10) was one for the ages. So, of course, everyone had something to say. But rap star G-Herbo had a special message for Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox.

G-Herbo Sends Warning to Fox After Crucial Mistake

In a video posted to his social media account on Wednesday night, Herbo warned the Spurs guard to “wear a bulletproof vest” on the ride back to San Antonio. And warned him that he could get “smoked.”

Fox made several crucial mistakes during the course of the Knicks’ comeback. But not bigger than he made in the waning moments of the fourth quarter. With the Spurs clinging to a 105-106 lead, Fox and the Spurs gained possession of the basketball.

But instead of holding the ball and running the clock out or allowing the Knicks to put them on the line, Fox did the unthinkable. He took a transition layup, which ended up being blocked by Knicks forward, OG Anunoby.

It ended up being a pivotal moment in the game. Because on the very next possession, Anuoby hit a go-ahead bucket off a missed shot by Jalen Brunson. This gave them a one-point lead and ultimately sealed their victory, giving them a commanding 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.

But even though Fox’s mistakes were critical, the loss was not solely on him. The entire roster played a role in watching a 29-point lead evaporate. After scoring 76 points in the first half, they scored a measly 30 points in the final two quarters.

Now, as San Antonio heads home for a Game 5 on Thursday night, their season will be on the line. A loss would eliminate them from the Finals and crown the Knicks as NBA champs.
