Rap artist The Game recently appeared on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe. And of course, one of the sound bites from his interview went viral on social media.

Game Declares Himself The Best Rapper Out of Compton

During his appearance, the NFL Hall of Famer asked The Game if he felt he was the best artist out of Compton. In his words, he is the best artist from the city because “nobody” from the city can “outrap” him.

“I’m definitely the best rapper from Compton. Nobody can outrap me, man. And anybody who knows will know,” the rap artist said. “Because nobody can do what I can do, because nobody has my skillset. Not only do I have the ability to rap circles around people, but I’m also with all of the bu*****t too. If it came down to that. So I mean, I’m the best rapper in this town.”

However, after The Game made the statement, Sharpe gave him slight pushback. Noting that some of hip-hop’s “heavyweights” such as Ice Cube and NWA were from Compton. However, Game stayed ten toes down on his statement. He said that he still believes he is a better artist than the West Coast legends like Ice Cube, because he has molded himself in their image.

“I love Ice Cube, but Cube can’t outrap me,” he added. “The reason Cube can’t outrap me is that I used Cube’s legacy to help me sharpen. I used Snoop’s legacy to help me sharpen myself. I used Dr. Dre, I used NWA. So those guys came before me. You know what I’m saying?”

Game then likened him and Ice Cube to Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Noting that Michael Jordan in his prime was not a better player than Kobe, because the student had become the teacher.

“It’s like Kobe. You know Kobe watched Michael. In Kobe’s prime, Mike couldn’t guard Kobe. But that’s because he came before him, and he dominated,” the rapper stated. “If I were coming up with Cube in 1992, he might have gone crazy. But right now, it’s like nah.”
