After kicking off his Wun World Tour in November, Gunna invaded NYC. As his tour hit Madison Square Garden, the World’s Most Famous Arena. But his performance didn’t stop after a nearly sold-out show. He also hit Harbon Club in New York City for an after-party performance. But unfortunately, that performance ended in tragedy.
Gunna’s Performance Ends With One Dead
According to a November 24 report from The New York Post, there was a shooting on the night of Gunna’s performance. And it ended with one person being pronounced dead as a result.
According to the outlet, a shooting occurred a mere block from Harbor Night Club, where Gunna performed that night. At around 4 a.m. during the club letout.
The victim, a 39-year-old man who remains unidentified pending family verification, was hit twice in the back and groin. He was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The outlet also adds that the victim has been identified as a member of the Crips street gang in a 2024 gun trial.
At the time of writing, the gunman remains at large.
Gunna’s name has remained in the headlines as a result of Young Thug being released from prison after receiving probation in the YSL RICO trial. Upon his release, Thug has had a lot to say about the former YSL label artist. Particularly regarding his role in the YSL RICO trial.
After being swept up in the feds in the initial indictment, Gunna was allowed to enter an Alford Plea. Under the plea, Gunna maintained his innocence but admitted that the prosecution’s evidence would likely result in a guilty verdict if brought to trial.
However, even though Gunna’s plea was never entered as evidence in the YSL trial, Young Thug has constantly accused him of snitching to regain his freedom.
