Hernandez Govan was found not guilty of his alleged role in the slaying of Memphis rapper Young Dolph. Govan was charged as the mastermind who planned the ambush outside a Memphis bakery in November 2021.
NBA Player Tried To Bury Beef Between Young Dolph, Yo Gotti
Govan has officially been cleared of all charges related to the case. So he is ready to tell his unfiltered side of the story. In a recent interview with DJ Vlad, Govan made a shocking revelation. He revealed that a “well-known and respected NBA player” attempted to bury the hatchet between Yo Gotti and Young Dolph. A beef that many believe led to Dolph’s murder nearly four years ago.
However, when Dolph was approached about the idea of burying the beef between him and Yo Gotti, he declined the offer.
“There was a well-known and respected NBA player from our city (Memphis) who wanted to see the beef [between Yo Gotti and Young Dolph] end. He reached out to a well-respected club promoter in Memphis, Tennessee. And asked him to reach out to both parties and try to bury the beef,” Govan said during the interview.
“So he reached out to Yo Gotti, and Gotti was all for it. He was open to having a conversation with Dolph, possibly meeting up to put an end to it. When this particular club promoter reached out to Dolph, Dolph said ‘f**k no.'” Then he hung up the phone in his face, and blocked him.”
Govan went on to add that he believes that the entire situation that led to Dolph’s killing was something that was avoidable. But ultimately, “egos” got in the way, which led to the unfortunate tragedy.
“He didn’t want no parts of squashing it, and I’m just being honest about the whole situation. I say that to say this. All of this could have been avoided if egos weren’t in the way,” he added.
