Hit-Boy is reminding fans that his skills extend far beyond the producer’s chair.
The three-time GRAMMY Award winner is the latest artist to take on Red Bull’s 60-Second Freestyle, a series that challenges established and emerging hip-hop talent to deliver a hard-hitting performance in exactly one minute.
The California native steps into the spotlight following the streaming release of his latest album, HITStory 2: Success Is a Dirty Word, using the freestyle to showcase his abilities as an MC.
While Hit-Boy is widely known for producing major records including Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “N****s in Paris” and Travis Scott’s “SICKO MODE,” his production résumé also includes work with Nas, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey Hussle and many more.
This time, however, the focus is entirely on Hit-Boy as he takes 60 seconds to remind listeners that he can deliver bars just as comfortably as he creates hits behind the boards.
Hit-Boy’s Red Bull 60-Second Freestyle is available now on Red Bull 1520, Red Bull’s YouTube platform dedicated to hip-hop performances, beats and culture. Video Clip Credit to be provided to: @redbullmusic // Red Bull Content Pool
