A fatal shooting occurred outside T.I.’s Atlanta recording studio over the weekend, prompting an active homicide investigation by local authorities.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired at Tip’s Super Sounds Studios in Northwest Atlanta on Jan. 31 at approximately 3:17 a.m. When police arrived at the scene, they found a victim seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers attempted life-saving measures before the victim was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where they later died from their injuries. Police confirmed that homicide investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
WSB-TV reports that T.I. has owned the studio since 2020 but does not manage the property. The incident marks the latest act of violence at the location. In 2021, a man was shot at the studio, and in 2022, another individual was shot in the leg in the parking lot, a case police believed was connected to vehicle break-ins.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not yet released information regarding suspects or possible motives.
