Hot 97’s Summer Jam was full of surprises but a standout was the station not being able to tell Bun B from Pimp C. On Sunday night a member of the station’s social media team mistook Bun B for his late UGK partner Pimp C, who passed away back in 2007.
The original tweet, which has since been deleted, simply read: “Underground Kings! Pimp C just came out with #MeganRyte” and included video footage of Bun hitting the stage. Bun was a special guest for Ryte’s closing Summer Jam set alongside Slim Thug and Paul Wall to perform the Houston classic “Still Tippin.”
