Ice Spice is addressing her disappointed fans who thought they’d see her at Summer Jam. During the event that was marred by delays, Spice never took the stage despite her billing as a headliner.
Why Didn’t Ice Spice Perform At Summer Jam?
According to reports, the event ran over a half hour over it’s expected time and many rappers had their sets cut short. People also complained about Funk Flex’s DJ song choice, and how long he DJ’d.
Still, Ice Spice was expected to get on stage despite the delays, at least, for one song. However, she revealed in a statement on social media that it wasn’t her choice to bail on the performance.
“I see yal & im sorry things didn’t work out last night,” she posted. “I was booked for 1 song but contract wasn’t done despite promoting me as a main performer for weeks… I’ll try my best to make it up to u all thx for understanding.”
She has since deleted the post.
In addition, Cash Cobain also did not perform as expected.

The “Munch” rapper took to Instagram to reveal a new addition to her ever evolving look.
On her Instagram Story, Ice Spice sticks out her tongue, revealing a gigantic rock piercing sitting in the middle of her tongue.
It’s unclear if the piercing is just a stunt, a temporary thing, or really a part of her new look.
In addition, she popped out as a surprise guest for ASAP Rocky’s Newark stop of his Don’t Be Dumb Tour.
She also is getting a Fortnite skin, which is out now and available for purchase.
