Ice Spice’s Lawyer Says They Will Pursue Legal Action After Attack
In a statement from the rapper’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, he notes that the attack has been reported to the Los Angeles Police Department. And says that they will be pursuing legal action against Ice Spice’s attacker. He also says they are “exploring” holding the location responsible for “lack of appropriate security.”
“The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD, and we will be pursuing any avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly,” Cohen said as caught by US Weekly. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.”
On Friday (April 17), footage was leaked of the Munch creator being attacked while eating at McDonald’s. A woman approaches Ice while she is eating and begins raining down fists on her shortly after.
The melee continued outside the restaurant, and a man who was with Ice Spice’s attacker also tried to confront the rap star. But the situation gets diffused before it can escalate any further.
After the footage was leaked, many questioned why the rap star would even be eating inside a McDonald’s. Especially given her celebrity status. But radio host Ebro Darden believes he has the answers to that question. On a recent episode of his podcast, Ebro said that he believes that the entire thing was staged.
“This is kinda what made me feel like this might be kinda promo. Y’all know I be looking for promo,” he said during a recent episode of his podcast. Ice Spice needs promo right now… I feel like it was wrestling.”
