Iggy Azalea has moved on from Def Jam Records and has a new record deal with Island Records. Iggy was first signed to Def Jam in 2013. Iggy has had a few record deal throughout here career; Interscope, Grand Hustle, Def Jam, and others.
Last year Iggy shared her issues with Def Jam CEO Steve Bartels via social media. Writing on Twitter “Steve Bartels says he doesn’t want to release another single for my album unfortunately — So that’s that, I’m very unhappy with the way things have been handled too. I will make sure it’s not this way for ia3… I can assure you guys of that.”
Billboard sources say that Azalea shifted from Def Jam to Island Records not long after her public spat with Bartels.
Iggy’s latest single, “Savior,” which features Quavo of Migos, was released through Island Records, which is one of the first pieces of material dropped by Iggy since signing her new deal.
