At one point, rapper Tay-K had an insane level of buzz, a successful debut mixtape, and several hits under his belt. But, the song that blew him up, ultimately destroyed him, as prosecutors argued the song’s grim imagery held similarities to when he went on the run while facing conviction for a 2016 home invasion case that left a 21 year old dead. However, in a shocking turn of events, Tay-K may come home.
How Is Tay-K Possibly Coming Home?
In a post on Instagram, Tay-K’s sister shows her mom reacting to a phone call with a contact labeled Taymor’s attorney. Taymor is Tay-K’s birth name. She explained the circumstances in her caption.
“I been holding so much in, but just know them prayers been getting answered fr 🙏🏽 thank you God… my brother story not over #freetayk,” Tay-K’s sister posted.
The video has the attorney saying he’ll keep them posted with the details and Tay-K’s sister cracking sly smile. In the background, his mother asks what’s going on, to which she replies “your son coming home.”
Tay-K currently is serving 55 years for murder, 30 years for one count of aggravated robbery, and 26 years for the remaining two counts of aggravated robbery. He will be eligible for parole after serving twenty-eight years.
It’s unknown how this could be possible, but the video hints that something could be worked out.
