Isaiah Rashad has stayed quiet for the past few years since his return album The House Is Burning, but it appears he may break his silence. Over the weekend, Rashad posted an Instagram story that opened the floodgates.
In the photo, a red envelope reads “It’s Been Awful,” with the TDE trademark stamped at the bottom. On a second envelope, it reads: “Everybody wanna see you crash out, fall off and burn out all for their entertainment,” the envelope reads. “I just wanna see you smile.”
While fans began to speculate after the post, labelmate Schoolboy Q added fuel to the fire tweeting “IT”S BEEN AWFUL.” Punch continued the momentum posting the same.
On Monday (April 6th) someone in New York caught posters for the rumored, It’s Been Awful, getting rolled up on a wall located at the corner of Union Ave and Meeker Ave in Brooklyn, NY across from Mt. Carmel Triangle.

What Else Do We Know About The Release?
Fans gained more intel when it was revealed that an upcoming single “Same Shit” could be pre-saved on streaming.
In 2024, Rashad took victory laps for his seminal past work, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Cilvia Demo on tour. He also revealed in 2025 that his next album would be his “best body of work” yet. The album, reportedly called All My Heroes Are Junkies, could possibly have undergone a name change or could see the light of day later on.
