Isaiah Rashad has ended speculation and revealed when his new album is coming out. On Tuesday (April 7th) Rashad posted a short video to his X account, revealing some key information about the album.

When Is The Album Coming Out?

In the video, Rashad limps around a field of cattle, dodging manure as he navigates. He opens his shirt to reveal blood soaking from his chest, as a voice in the background mimics a radio DJ. As Rashad bleeds, two figures appear on screen before revealing a passed out Rashad in the field. On the screen the text reads: “It’s Been Awful 5/1/26,” before a scene of Rashad in a shipping container-like area flickers out.

The tease comes after Sunday (April 5th), when Rashad posted a picture on his Instagram Story with a TDE envelope that read “It’s Been Awful.” On Monday (April 6th) speculation continued when labelmates Doechii, Schoolboy Q and TDE president Punch posted the same sentence on their social media.

Then, a video surfaced where someone rolled posters that read “It’s Been Awful” at the corner of Union Ave and Meeker Ave in Brooklyn, New York.

How Did Fans React To The Isaiah Rashad News?

X lit up after Rashad’s post, with many fans expressing excitement.

“REAL MUSIC IS BACK,” said one user. “What a gift for my birthday,” said another user. “OMG OMG OMG WE’RE SO BACK SO BACK SO BACK BACK DEPARTMENT IM FILING A CLAIM OOOOOOOOOOO,” said another user.

The album is Rashad’s first in five years, following up the critically-acclaimed The House Is Burning.

Originally teased as All My Heroes Are Junkies, Rashad told the Lollapalooza crowd in 2025 that his new music is his “best body of work”

Fans will get a taste of what’s in store when Rashad drops his new single “Same Shit” soon.
