J. Cole and Cam’ron have officially settled their lawsuit over his 2024 track Ready 24.
J. Cole & Cam’ron Settle ‘Ready 24’ Lawsuit
According to court documents obtained by Billboard, Cole and Cam “reached an agreement in principle” to settle the legal filing and are in the process of “finalizing the settlement papers.” However, the terms of the settlement, including the payment, were not made public.
In October 2025, Cam brought legal action against the creator of The Fall Off. Claiming breach of contract regarding his feature on the song Ready 24. Cam’ron alleges that in exchange for his 2024 verse, Cole promised to appear on his podcast, It Is What It Is, or collaborate on a future song, which he says never occurred. And sought recoupment to the tune of $500,000.
However, amid the rollout for his seventh studio album, The Fall Off, J. Cole did appear on Cam’ron’s podcast Talk With Flee. The two appeared to hash things out during Cole’s appearance. However, he did say that he was initially upset when he got served with the lawsuit.
“When the lawsuit came out, I was like, ‘Come on Cam,’” Cole said (via Kurrco/X). “My ego reaction is like, quietly, I’m like, ‘fuck this n****.’ But quickly I’m like, ‘Nah, I get it though.’”
Cam says that he never really intended to go through with the lawsuit. But it became apparent that was the only way he was really going to get J. Cole’s attention.
“Of course it was never gonna go anywhere, but for me it was like, ‘I need to get this n**** attention,’” he said.
It appears that now, things are officially settled.
