One of the most anticipated albums of 2026 is J. Cole’s seventh studio album, “The Fall Off.” On Wednesday (January 14), Cole finally revealed when his highly anticipated album would drop.
J. Cole to Release Exclusive Vinyl Edition Of Upcoming Album
The Dreamville head honcho dropped a trailer on social media on Wednesday. Revealing that the album will drop on Friday, February 6th.
But that wasn’t the only revelation that the North Carolina native made. Cole also revealed that an exclusive vinyl edition of his forthcoming album will also be made available to fans. And they can pre-order it now for $49.99
“This is the first-ever pressing of The Fall-Off. This limited edition was assembled under the strongest security measures possible in hopes of preserving the reveal of album artwork and music until the moment they were intended to be released,” the description reads (via Kurrrco/X). Production demanded full-scale, around-the-clock security in multiple facilities across North America to provide the best chance of success. With special packaging modifications, we are calling this first pressing the ‘Stealth Edition,’ and it will be the only time the album will be available in this form.”
Cole’s last project, The Off-Season, released in May 2021. It did pretty well number wise. Selling roughly 282,000 album-equivalent units in its first week in the U.S. And it eventually sold more than 1 million units by late 2021, making it his fifth album to surpass 1 million units. The Fall-Off will be a tough act to follow. But with it already being one of the year’s most anticipated albums, it will be interesting to see where it stacks up against the rest of Cole’s discography.
