Why is Finesse at Odds With J. Prince Jr?
Finesse2Tymes has been adding odds with J. Prince Jr. since 2025. He has been demanding to be released from his contract with Mob Ties. The label that J. Prince Jr. founded in 2017. Finesse2Tymes referred to his Mob Ties deal as the “worst deal” he ever signed. He also questioned why other artists on the label who have “no hits” are getting more promotion than he is. Despite having previous success with hit records like Backend.
“Mob Ties the worst deal I ever signed,” he said in a clip shared by Akademiks. “I should’ve just gone to Atlantic by myself. Why are they m*****f****ers that ain’t got no hits, ain’t accomplished nothing, how the f*ck are they getting in these rooms I ain’t getting in. I got gold plaques and sh*t… All this talent is just going to waste.”
He also goes on to compare his recording contract to “slavery.”
“At this point, this is slavery. Let me out. Let me go. I don’t wanna do the album no more,” he concluded.
