The Queens-born rap artist released a statement on his social media account. He admitted that his behavior during the incident was “goofy” and expressed remorse.
“I’m not proud of my behavior; it’s goofy to me,” Ja wrote in the message shared on Instagram (via XXL). “I’m a grown man about to be a grandfather, and I wish that video of me wasn’t out there either.”
In a video that began circulating on social media on February 9, Ja Rule can be seen getting into a shouting match. With Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda on a recent flight. Another angle of the video shows an even more heated moment between the three rappers. After Ja allegedly threw a pillow at Tony Yayo. The incident resulted in Ja being removed from the flight and has gone viral on social media.
Ja admitted that in the moment, he was upset and expressed remorse because he allowed Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda to take him “out of character.” But he also made it clear that he was not the aggressor in the situation.
“Don’t like people taking me out of my character, so for that I apologize to my wife, family, fans, business, and investment partners,” he continued. “I want people to know that at the end of the day, I’m still a man and I’m going to stand my ground. I don’t start trouble.”
