New Audio Puts Jay-Z’s Accuser in Hot Water
In 2024, the multi-platinum artist was under fire. A Jane Doe accused he and Bad Boy Records founder Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexually assaulting her. At a party when she was not of age to consent.
The charges against Jay-Z and Diddy were dropped, but details about the trial are still being released. On March 12 ABC News shared an audio clip of the defendant claiming Jay-Z’s innocence.
In the audio, a private investigator asks Jane Doe if she concurred that Jay-Z “didn’t have anything to do with any sexual acts towards” her and that “he was just there, but he didn’t have anything to do with any sexual acts towards” her. She agreed.
In this clip, she admits that her controversial attorney Tony Buzbee “pushed” her .to amend her complaint. And add Jay-Z to the suit.
“ [Buzbee] was the one that kind of pushed me towards going forward with him, with JAY-Z.”
However, the attorney has vehemently denied this claim.
“As far as the suggestion that I pushed Jane Doe to bring a case against Jay Z – That is a blatant lie that is directly contrary to all the documentary evidence,” he said in a statement.
However, Jay-Z’s attorney Alex Spiro says that the latest clip just further proves the rap star is innocent.
“She says in no uncertain terms Mr. Carter did not do this,” he told ABC News. “It’s effectively a lie and the only reason Mr. Carter is even involved in this is because she was pushed to involve him.”
Jay-Z has since filed a counterclaim against Buzbee and the woman. Diddy’s problems on the other hand are far from over. His federal trafficking case is set to begin on May 5.
