Beyoncé closed out the international leg of her Cowboy Carter Tour with a bang—and a surprise guest that sent the Paris crowd into a frenzy.
During the final night of her three-show run at Stade de France, Beyoncé brought out none other than her husband, Jay-Z. It all went down in the fifth act of the show as she launched into their 2003 classic, “Crazy In Love.” Right as the iconic beat dropped, Hov hit the stage in an all-black fit, greeted by thunderous screams from the sold-out crowd.
But the surprise didn’t stop there.
After vibing with Bey for their duet, Jay took the spotlight solo for a performance of “Ni—s In Paris.” While Ye was noticeably absent, Jigga didn’t miss a beat—he even switched up a key lyric. Instead of rapping the original “Just might let you meet Ye,” he subs out the Chicago natives name for none other than his wifey.
Despite the complicated relationship between Ye and the Carters, Kanye has publicly expressed a desire to make peace, once saying he dreams of apologizing to Hov.
Back onstage, Jay-Z and Beyoncé kept the energy going with fan-favorites like “Drunk In Love” and “Partition.” The moment marked a rare treat for fans—the last time the duo performed together was back in 2018 at the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 in Johannesburg.
And just in case anyone had doubts about who Jay’s favorite collaborator is, he made it crystal clear. At Fanatics Fest in NYC on Friday (June 20), young sports reporter Elijah Bloom asked Hov the big question. His answer? “Beyoncé. She’s the best. She’s amazing.”
