JAY-Z has had an incredible summer. From his return performance at Roots Picnic to his three-day Yankees Stadium take over, JAY has owned the year, despite not dropping an album.
However, a cryptic post from Roc Nation may extend his domination.
On Instagram, Roc Nation posted an image with numerous TVs that say either “Layer 1” or “Layer 2.” The caption is simply: “STAY TUNED … SEPT 1ST..”
Fans have speculated it could be a tour reveal, album announcement, or the most likely result: JAY-Z playing the Super Bowl in 2027.
Regardless, fans will be waiting with baited breath for tomorrow to find out what Roc Nation has cooking.

JAY & Rick Rubin
JAY-Z and Rick Rubin will sit down for an 8-part series detailing HOV’s craft and process. The docuseries has been teased for months, but now, a new trailer reveals the release date.
The series will drop September 18th at 8 P.M. EST on HBO, and from there will rollout two episodes weekly through the fall.
The trailer reveals that songs such as “Can’t Knock the Hustle” and “What More Can I Say” along with “Meet the Parents’ and “The Story of O.J.” will be explored at length. Furthermore, other songs from Reasonable Doubt, Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter, The Dynasty: Roc La Familia, The Blueprint, The Black Album, American Gangster, Watch the Throne and 4:44, will get touched on.
In the original teaser, JAY explains the purpose behind the doc.
“Everyone had the same experience. Except I was the one to stand on the soapbox and articulate what we were going through. So the pain, we don’t say it’s necessary. We don’t say you need it, but if it’s there, you use it,” JAY tells Rubin.
