Jermaine Dupri is calling on BET to deliver a special tribute to legendary music executive Clive Davis at the upcoming 2026 BET Awards following his recent passing.

“He really did this sh*t different than any other white exec,” Dupri said while reflecting on Davis’ impact on the music industry.

Dupri credited Davis with helping bring Black music and artists to the forefront, arguing that his contributions deserve to be recognized in a major way during one of the culture’s biggest nights.
