Jim Jones Salutes Drake After Releasing Trifecta of New Albums
After flooding the streets with new music, several of the top tastemakers in the music industry have showered him with praise. One of those people is rap artist Jim Jones. During an episode of his Drip Report, the famed Diplomats member claimed that Drake is “bringing the summer back.
“He’s bringing the summer back for the whole culture…Drake is popping, and you’re mad right now cause he got it lit overnight,” Jones said in a clip shared by ZadCozzy.
He also compared Drizzy’s trifecta of new albums to Tupac’s run in 1996. When the late rapper dropped All Eyez on Me and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory in the same calendar year.
“He dropped a three-piece on you like Tupac. Tupac went double, he went triple. Stop playing w/ that Boy,” Jones added.

Of course, the rapper’s comments led to an explosion of reactions from fans on social media.
“Bro didn’t tell not one lie, the haters are trying everything they can to derail Drake,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“And none of that changes the fact that Kendrick whooped him and is by far the superior rapper,” a second user chimed in.
“The Summer back lit because T.I, Juvenile, Jeezy, Rick Ross, Ludacris, and HOV are making noise,” a third user remarked.
Drake’s Iceman is set to debut in the top spot on the Billboard Hot 200 this week.
