Earlier this month, Christian and Justin Combs released a trailer for an upcoming documentary surrounding the recent conviction of their father, Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Joe Budden Casts Doubut on Upcoming Zeus Diddy Doc
In a brief clip that recently surfaced on social media, Diddy & Justin appear to get a call from their father. A recorded message informs them of a collect call from Fort Dix FCI, where Diddy is currently serving out their sentence. It also plays a variation of clips from the media circus surrounding Combs’ federal trial in 2025.
While some have welcomed the idea of Diddy potentially getting to tell his side of the story, some people like Joe Budden are completely against it. During a recent episode of his podcast, Joe said that he thinks the forthcoming film is a “horrible idea.”
“I think this is a horrible idea,” he began, as captured by joebuddenclips/fanpage on X. “A horrible idea. I don’t know if I could think of a worse idea. And I f*ck with them two, like I’m not against them. Like, they didn’t do it. They’ve been nothing but kind to me. They look stupid in the trailer.”

Own Documentary About Their Father on Zeus network After 50 Cent’s Netflix Series is a horrible idea, every pr firm would’ve advised against it . pic.twitter.com/Xik0UYBAlY
Joe is not the only person to feel this way. 50 Cent’s longtime nemesis also cast doubt on the upcoming docuseries. Although he said that he wants to see the project, he isn’t sure that it is a “good idea” in the long run.
Ironically, the film appears to be a response to 50 Cent’s recent documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning. The four-part docuseries chronicles Combs’ years of crimes that led to him ultimately being sentenced to prison time this past October.
Despite several firsthand accounts given in the film, Combs has insinuated that much of the information in the film is fabricated. And has even threatened legal action against Netflix for airing it.
Now, he’ll have an opportunity to tell his side.
