Clipping has become a large eco system for content creators and with that, people like Joe Budden are making sure they get a slice of the pie.

However, Budden’s way of doing things has many fans in disagreement.
Recently, it was revealed that the show has introduced seven ‘Clipper Tier’ options for creators to legally share clips from episodes and Patreon exclusives. This increase comes after initially charging $500 a month to clip accounts on YouTube, TikTok, and X. CEO of the Budden network, Ian Schwartzman, says profitability depends on the work clippers put in.
Many have called out the practices as an evolution of a multi-level marketing scheme.
“LMAOOO. Look at what the n**** who spent his entire career raging against the machine is doing. So all he wanted all along was to be among?,” one user posted.
“can only post 5 times a month and IF you make too much they are FORCING you to go up to the higher tier & pay more. The show may be garbage creatively but they are definitely profitable if nothing else,” another user posted.
“Who the hell would pay that? If there is many clippers doing the same thing whats the return on investment to even make back your money for the memberships? And also what’s really stopping someone clipping it for free without a ‘joe budden’ license lol,” another user posted.
So far, neither Ian Schwartzman or Joe Budden has responded to the controversy but it may get addressed on the podcast.
