Wedding season is beginning to wind down but Joe Budden is already staking his claim to next summer. The podcaster proposed to his longtime girlfriend Shadée Monique in an Instagram Reel captured by Elliott Wilson at Joe Budden’s birthday celebration.
Before this though, Monique reveals to the partygoers she has a surprise.
“Joe’s going to be a girl dad,” Monique said.
Then, Joe had a surprise for Monique, getting on one knee and proposing to his girlfriend of over 6 years.
“We’re doing it or what? I’m part of it. All right, here we go. Here we go,” according to the proposal reel.
The couple, who have been together since the summer of 2019, recently celebrated their 7th anniversary in July 2026. They’ve discussed the possibility previously on their show, Pod Wives.

Mandii B Criticizes Budden
It looks like Mandii B’s shots at Budden are now moot.
Amid their feud, Mandii B called out Budden for taking so long to ask his girlfriend Monique to move in with him.
“He feels so strongly [about] this as an UNMARRIED man who just took 7 years to co-habitate with his partner. This has to be a joke,” she wrote in a recent social media post.
However, Monique was quick to hit back at Mandii B and told her to leave her out of their feud.
“I don’t speak on you nor have I seen you in years, so I’m so confused as to why you keep referring to me in any way, shape or form,” she wrote in response. “Then to talk about some shit you have no idea about. I chose to move after my twins went to college…my decision. Keep me/my name out of your drama.”
Mandii B kept replying saying it was justified to name check Monique because of past comments from Budden.
Now, with the marriage announcement, Mandii B will have to find a new angle to get at Budden.
