Rap star Sexyy Red has come under fire again. And this time it is rapper-turned-podcasted, Joe Budden who is aiming at her. Sexyy Red and Bruno Mars recently released a song called Fat, Juicy, and Wet. And if you think the title is lewd, that is nothing compared to the lyrics.

Joe Budden Rips Sexyy Red
Budden referred to the track as “force-fed, degenerate content dressed up for commercial gain.”
Despite her promiscuous brand, Sexyy Red has been co-signed by some of the top tastemakers in hip-hop. In addition to Bruno Mars, she has also been given the nod by Drake. Budden says he is beginning to question the authenticity of some of the partnerships she has developed.
“Are these co-signs about mentorship or money? It blurs the line between authentic collaboration and industry promo,” Budden said.
“In a landscape increasingly dominated by image and metrics,” he said, “asking hard questions about intent isn’t just important — it’s essential.”
Sexyy Red is no stranger to criticism. It is something she has dealt with since she burst on the scene with her smash hit “Pound Town,” in 2023. The St. Louis artist says that she expects that the hateful whispers will only get louder the higher she climbs up the ladder.
“I think [the hate comments] are getting bigger I ain’t gon’ fake it. So I’ve said this – I feel like I’m the most hated female rapper, They hate on me the most. So I get a lot of love, but they are hating on me. It is a little inside s**t. They tryna put me down. I will be feeling like – is y’all sending people to comment under here? I feel like it’s some hidden agendas,” she said.
“It could be labels, it could be everyone. I just feel like m*********as tryna bring me down. They don’t like seeing me win. And I will be seeing people say that in the comments! They are like, ‘So why do y’all hate her so much? What does she do to y’all? She just be chilling!’”
