Drake is preparing to release his ninth studio album, Iceman, on Friday (May 15). And many people expect Drizzy to respond to the same people who tried to bury him after his 2024 feud with Kendrick Lamar.
Joe Budden Says Drake Planned to Target Him on Iceman
One of the people Drake allegedly planned to call out was rapper-turned-podcaster Joe Budden. During a recent episode of his podcast, Joe suggested that Drizzy intended to target him on his album about his 2024 arrest. But said he ultimately chose to nix the lyric from his project.
“I was talking to somebody that I can’t say publicly. We were out having a little time. They were telling me that they heard something that’s not coming out. And it was a naked in the hallway reference,” Joe said in a clip caught by HotNewHipHop. “I was so happy that that wasn’t coming out… A naked person in the hallway diss is crazy.”
Joe Budden asks his co-hosts if they think Drake will take shots at him on "ICEMAN" and claims he spoke with someone who heard an alleged unreleased diss 🧊👀

In January 2024, the Pump It Up artist came under fire for indecent exposure. This came as a result of him being caught on a neighbor’s doorbell camera in the nude. In response, those same neighbors slapped Budden with a lawsuit over the incident. Claiming that the lewd act was retaliation because they complained about the unruly environment when Budden records his self-named podcast. His former co-host and former video vixen, Melyssa Ford, was also named in the complaint.
This appears to be the situation that Drake was planning to reference on his new album.
Iceman arrives this Friday, May 15.
