Kanye West has been a topic of discussion for most of the year. And not for good reason. The Grammy winner’s antics have ranged from Wearing a Klu Klux Klan uniform in an interview with DJ Akademiks. To making a song entitled ‘Heil Hitler’ which paid homage the the Nazi Dictator. And now, R&B star John Legend has stepped to the forefront to confront Ye for his antics.

John Legend Blasts Kanye West
In a new interview with The Times, The “Ordinany People,” creator blasted Kanye for being anti-black as well as anti-semitic.
“He had so much optimism, so much creativity… I didn’t see a hint of what we’re seeing now, his obsessions with antisemitism, anti-Blackness, and it is sad to see his devolution,” Legend said.
The music star had previously noted that he and West’s relationship was fractured after Donald Trump ran for President in 2016. Legend said that West was “very” upset with him for not supporting Trump’s campaign.
“What I was saying was that he was very upset with me that I didn’t support him running for President, and that was the real impetus for us having a strain in our friendship,” Legend said in an interview with The New Yorker.
Legend also says it is up to Kanye to rekindle their relationship.
“I don’t know what will happen in the future, but he was very upset with me that I didn’t support him, and I supported Joe Biden. It’s up to him whether he can get past that.”
Kanye appeared on N.O.R.E.’s Drink Champs podcast in 2021 and blasted both Legend and his other former G.O.O.D. Music artist, Big Sean, for being “used by the democrats.”
“Both John Legend and Big Sean, when I ran for office, got used quickly by the Democrats to come at their boy, that actually changed their life. And that’s some sell-out shit. And I don’t rock with either of them.”
