A judge has officially dismissed a trademark lawsuit tied to Chris Brown’s Breezy Bowl XX Tour after the plaintiff’s legal representation collapsed, according to Billboard.
The lawsuit was filed by Breezy Swim, a Miami-based retailer that claimed the tour’s name infringed on its trademark. However, the case unraveled after two separate attorneys withdrew from representing the company, leaving the plaintiff without legal counsel.
With no lawyer to move the case forward, the judge dismissed the lawsuit, effectively ending Breezy Swim’s challenge against Brown and his team. The dismissal clears a legal hurdle for the singer as his Breezy Bowl XX Tour continues without the trademark dispute hanging over it.
Billboard reports that the ruling closes the matter for now, marking another example of a high-profile trademark claim falling apart before reaching substantive arguments in court.
