Juelz Santana is pleading for more time before he starts his 27-month prison sentence. Santana is hoping to convince the judge using a Tyler Perry reunion show that he needs to attend.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Juelz is requesting the current surrender date of January 30, 2019 be extended by a month. He is asking for permission to travel to Georgia next month to attend the filming of a Tyler Perry reunion.

Santana argues he was also given short notice by officials and has not received his official prison paperwork yet. He says a one-month extension will allow him to wrap up his affairs with his career and family.
Last year, Juelz was indicted on two federal firearms charges related to bringing a .38-caliber Derringer to Newark Liberty International airport back in March.
He was released on $500,000 bond and was ordered to wear an ankle monitor and be on house arrest at his mother’s New Jersey home.
While out on bond, the judge approved Juelz Santana traveling outside New Jersey to tour and to tape “Love & Hip Hop in New York.”
In December, the rapper entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to 27 months in prison.
