Juicy J is standing by one of the most iconic records of his career, boldly declaring that “Slob On My Nob” is the greatest club song of all time.
The Memphis rap legend recently revealed that he wrote the track while he was in the 11th grade—and at the time, he actually hated it. Despite his early doubts, the song would go on to become one of the most recognizable anthems in Hip-Hop history, originally released under Three 6 Mafia and later taking on a life of its own across generations.
Looking back, Juicy J says what’s most incredible is how the record has translated globally. He recalled performing the song in Japan and witnessing something unforgettable. According to Juicy, the moment the beat dropped, the entire crowd—many of whom didn’t speak English fluently—suddenly knew every word.
“Everybody’s English kicked in,” he said, describing how the crowd rapped along bar-for-bar, proving the universal power of a true club anthem.
Over the years, “Slob On My Nob” has remained a staple in clubs, parties, and DJ sets worldwide, continuing to energize crowds decades after its release. What started as a high school creation Juicy J once disliked has become, in his eyes, the ultimate club classic—and a testament to Hip-Hop’s global reach.
