New Music Friday on July 11 was one for the books. Several artists dropped new songs. Among those artist was R&B star Justin Bieber.

Justin Bieber Rips Clipse’s New Album in Deleted Post

Bieber dropped a new album titled Swag on July 11. He surprised everyone when he teased the new album just a day before its release. However, he was forced to share a release date with Clipse. His highly-anticipated studio album, Let God Sort ‘Em Out, was released on the same date. Despite Clipse scheduling July 11 as their album release date some weeks ago, Bieber still was unhappy about having to share it. He called out the rap duo in a now-deleted social media post.

“This album is way better than the Clipse. Clipse is for bitter grown men who collect Kaws dolls & shop at KITH and Union,” Bieber wrote on his Instagram story before deleting it.

Fans on social media weighed in with mixed reactions.

“Lmao the Kaws brand and Clipse collab doesn’t make sense at all totally different audiences,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Damn, Justin… You got way too much personal information out there to be going at Pusha T,” another user added.

“Lamest n***as on the planet hating on Pusha because he ended their little Canadian friend,” a third user said.

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the rap duo’s latest release. Bieber is just the latest artist to have something to say regarding Clipse’s new album. They have also received criticism from Jim Jones and Travis Scott.

However, despite the controversy surrounding the new projects, the reception of the project from the general public has not been impacted at all. On the day that Clipse released their new project, the rap duo earned 10.9 million streams on Spotify alone. Not too shabby for a group coming off a 15-year hiatus.
