Kanye West Responds to Cassie
Amid his beef with Playboy Carti, The “I am Music,” artist employed Ye to “shut the f**k up.” After being one of Kanye’s recent victims, Cassie responded to the Grammy winner by posting a screenshot of Carti’s tweet on her Instagram story.
After catching wind of Ventura’s response, the Yeezy founder went scorched earth on the former R&B star.
“CASSIE YOU SHUT THE F**K UP. YOU CAME TO EXTORT THE N***A. DIAGIO [sic] PUT OUT A TEN-YEAR-OLD TAPE TO MAKE THE PUBLIC FOCUS ON THAT,” Kanye wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter on March 20.
“I RIDE WITH DIDDY CAUSE THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT ADIDAS TRIED TO DO TO ME. THEY FROZE MY ACCOUNTS RIGHT BEFORE TAX TIME. WHEN YOU DON’T PAY 60 MILLION IN TAXES YOU GO TO JAIL. GET IT. I’M NOT THE CRAZY ONE HERE.”
Kanye’s beef with Cassie stems from his new alliance with Bad Boy Records founder, Sean “Diddy” Combs. Combs is currently awaiting trial. He was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges in September, and many people feel Cassie was the catalyst behind Diddy being brought to justice.
She was the person who filed a civil suit against Combs, alleging she was sexually assaulted and trafficked. Shortly after the complaint was settled by Diddy, several of his current and former cohorts alleged that they suffered similar abuse at the hands of the music mogul.
Earlier this month, Ye suggested that Cassie’s civil suit was nothing more than an extortion plot.
“How every n-gga you know hit a girl before but everybody so mad at Puff?” he wrote. “So Cassie ain’t extort Puff? Cassie came to Puff and said gimme 30 million or I’ma release a tell-all book. That looks like extortion to me.”
It will be interesting to see if Cassie responds.
