After a stretch of hellacious public stunts, Ye—formerly known as Kanye West—seems to be turning his attention back to music.

The Chicago rapper closed out last year with the release of his visual album Bully and has since teased a provocative follow-up initially titled WW3 and now renamed Cuck. The project, true to Ye’s recent form, reportedly features even more controversial song titles.
In a move that surprised fans, Ye also made Donda 2 available on streaming platforms for the first time. The sequel to his 2021 album Donda was originally released exclusively on his Stem Player, a custom device that allowed listeners to tweak its mixes.
Following a recent livestream, where Ye hinted at his desire to bring Donda 2 to a wider audience, the album quietly dropped on Spotify under a new account. However, the timing of the release—days after the start of the official tracking week for new music—hindered its performance in the charts.
Combined with the backlash from Ye’s ongoing controversies, the delayed drop resulted in a lackluster showing: just 5,900 units sold. Industry insiders estimate that, had the release landed on the previous Friday, it might have reached closer to 21,000 units—still a far cry from the massive numbers West once commanded.
Despite the underwhelming rollout, Kanye West doesn’t appear fazed. On social media, he posted the cryptic word “YAGE,” later following up with a call to collaborators: “Who all should be on YAGE.”
While details remain scarce, it seems Ye is already moving on, signaling yet another project in the works.
