Kanye West has added another peculiar chapter in the on-again off-again relationship between him and fellow rap star Drake. But this time around, Drake is not the focus of the Yeezy creator’s attacks.

Instead West took to social media to pay homage to Drake. West noted that when it is his time to go, he wants Drizzy to be the person who does his eulogy.
“I saw a video of Drake walking through his house and showing he had a library of rhyme books. Man, I wish I could have seen and remembered this when my jealousy overtook me,” he wrote in a since-deleted post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “I’ma say this when I die I need you to speak at [my] funeral.”
Drake made headlines last year during the explosive rap beef between him and rap star Kendrick Lamar. There were several unpleasantries exchanged in a series of songs between the artists. But none more notable than Kendrick’s Not Like Us. The overwhelming majority think that Kendrick’s release of Not Like Us ultimately won him the battle between him and Drake.
After seeing Drake spar with several artists in his career such as Common, Pusha T, and Meek Mill, Kanye says it was surprising to see Drizzy take the L.
“I was like, ‘Man, you killed my nemesis. Where’s the movies if it ain’t no Drake?’” he said during a recent interview.
“Or at least he took him down for a little bit. Maybe it’s like in superhero films where characters like Wolverine or something just go away for a couple of films.”
However, West said that despite taking the L, he fully expects Drake to bounce back in a major way.
“You can’t ever count out Steph Curry. That man might get 200 points in one song.”
