According to a report from TMZ Nas’ ex-wife Kelis is taking legal action to make sure she gets an increase of child support from the $8,000 a month that Nas currently pays.
Kelis just filed legal documents saying $8,000 a month isn’t enough anymore in the child support department. She says her and Nas’ son 8-year-old Knight has needs he didn’t have 5 years ago when the order was put in place.
Kelis also says Nas is doing much better now than he was when the judge ordered him to $8,000 a month on child support, so he’s more than able to pay for various expenses.
Kelis was not specific as to how much more she wants, but she wants add-ons to the base based on, 50% of school-related costs, 50% of any child care Kelis needs, and 50% of unreimbursed health care.
In December, court documents revealed Nas had been trying to spend more time with his son but said Kelis wasn’t letting him. When Nas allegedly attempted to make some sort of agreement with the Kelis, she was “hostile” and refused to come to terms.
We’ll see how this goes.
