Kendrick Lamar is in position to score an Oscar on hid resume. On Tuesday morning (Jan. 22), Kendrick was announced as a nominee for the 2019 Oscars.
Kendrick Lamar has earned a nomination for “All the Stars,” which is a SZA collaboration from Black Panther: The Album, which is a Black Panther movie soundtrack K. Dot curated alongside Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith. The song is up for Best Original Song, where it’s going against Lady Gaga’s “Shallow” from the A Star Is Born. The Black Panther soundtrack is also nominated for a trophy at the awards show.
