Kendrick Lamar Has ‘Big Surprise’ For Super Bowl Halftime Show
As anticipated as the game was, there was just as much excitement surrounding the Super Bowl halftime show. Grammy award-winning artist Kendrick Lamar who recently dropped his GNX album will headline the show with fellow TDE artist, SZA.
With Lamar being one of the most respected voices in the industry, fans are speculating on what artists Lamar will have join him on stage for the halftime show. That still remains to be seen. However, according to Hits Daily Double, Lamar is rumored to have a “big surprise,” scheduled for the halftime show.

2025 has already been a winning season for Kendrick. Last weekend at the 2025 Grammy Awards, the Compton-born artist collected five awards for his 2024 hit “Not Like Us.”
But there has been a lot of conversation about whether or not Lamar should perform the hit song, which aims at rap star, Drake. Fellow West Coast hip-hop legend, Too Short says he would prefer for Kendrick to not perform the hit son.
“If I was him I wouldn’t do it,” Too Short said. “That’s more of a jab than doing it. [Lamar] just did the Grammys, man. I wouldn’t do it.”
Media pundit Charlamagne the God echoed that same sentiment.
“I don’t think he should do it, and I’m consistent, before the lawsuit I said he should do the horns and the hook,” Charlamagne said. “I just wouldn’t be up there mentioning all them other people during my time like that.”
