Though Kendrick Lamar wasn’t in attendance, the Compton MC was honored with Lyricist of the Year award at The 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards. This makes it the sixth consecutive year that he’s been given the award. The last person to be awarded the honor was Lil Wayne in 2011.
