Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ Breaks an All-Time Record

Not like us has already proven to be a more massive record than most expected. Especially because it is a diss track, aimed at platinum-selling artist, Drake. But after taking home five awards in a clean sweep at the 2025 Grammys, the hits just keep coming for Kendrick. As the song has collected another record.

According to Chart Data, the 2024 smash hit has officially broken the record for the longest charting rap song in Hot 100 history. It is also the first song to chart for over a year.

And of course, Kendrick’s fans (and his haters) weighed in with reactions on social media.

“Kendrick said it’s just Big Me & proved it’s just Big Me,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Ain’t none of his songs did this except the one song he was dissing the biggest in the Game. Lmao,” another person added.

“Not even close to deserving, but people hate far more than they love,” another fan said.

Kendrick and Drake spent most of last summer engaging in their viral rap feud. And while Kendrick appears to have moved past feuding with another artist for the time being, the New York City rap artist appears to be trying to rope the Compton artists into another beef.

“I salute you, Kenny, but I know you’re well aware / You lookin’ for some competition? Then just know that I’ll be right here,” Joey raps on the song titled, The Finals, which he released on May 15

It will be interesting to see if Kendrick will engage in more lyrical warfare.
