Drake is set to release his ninth studio album, Iceman, on Friday (May 15). Which means that it will be a rough week for noted Drake critic Joe Budden.
Kevin Durant Shades Joe Budden Ahead of ‘Iceman’ Drop
This will be Drizzy’s first solo album since he dropped For All The Dogs in 2023. And with nearly three years having elapsed since his last solo project dropped, it’s easily one of the most anticipated projects of the year. Ahead of the release, Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant shared his excitement, and Budden caught a stray in the process.
In a recent post to his social media account, the two-time NBA Finals MVP posted an AI-generated photo of the Pump It Up creator. Holding a block of Ice.
The photo comes from a screenshot of a 2016 viral video. The famed podcaster chased down two Drake fans. Who found the location of his home to confront him over past comments.
“Ice week,” Durant captioned the photo.

Of course, Durant’s post went viral and garnered a lot of reactions on social media.
“He sitting at home should have worried about the playoff instead of this stupid bih,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“They have something in common ….curry and Lil Wayne ain’t s**t without them,” a second user chimed in.
Drake and Durant have been connected for a while. He’s mentioned him on several songs, such as Summer Sixteen, Gold Roses, and Weston Road Flows. It will be interesting to see if he gets a mention on this upcoming album.
