The focal point of Sunday was supposed to be the annual NBA All-Star Game. But that was overshadowed. When social media user and known Kendrick Lamar fan @MrBusby4o8 leaked private messages. That the two-time NBA Finals MVP sent to his inbox.

“Buzz, you talked to Kendrick today?”
“Aye, Goof Your Daddy Dot text you today?”
“Who cares about a chain when you got billions? I’m wondering if your daddy, Kendrick, knows you exist.”
“Aye, fats, why do you want Drake dead?”

Many fans on social media suggested that the screenshots released by @MrBusby4o8 were edited using AI. However, he also released a screen recording of him going to his direct messages and confirming that the messages were sent from Durant’s official social media account.
Durant is one of the NBA superstars who has maintained a close relationship with Drake in the aftermath of his 2024 rap feud with Kendrick.
That wasn’t the only exposee involving Kevin Durant on Sunday. Another one of his burner accounts appeared to have been leaked. And in the messages from a group chat on X, formerly known as Twitter, Durant can be seen talking about several of his current and former teammates.
To make matters worse, fans caught clips of Durant on his phone during the NBA All-Star game on Sunday afternoon, which appeared to be a confirmation that he was aware of the backlash that he was receiving on social media.
At the time of writing, Durant has not confirmed if he is the person who sent those messages or if his account was breached.
