Following the 29-year-old’s passing, Glock took to social media to express his grief.
“I don’t want to believe it,” the rapper wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday (June 19).

Key Glock and Tay Keith had a natural connection as two Memphis natives. So they connected on several hit records such as Ambition For Cash, Russian Cream, and Presidential Rolex. Back in 2024, Tay Keith even hinted at dropping a full project with Key Glock. Noting that they have several unreleased tracks sitting in the vault.
Tay Keith was dead when police showed up to his home in Memphis, Tennessee, on Thursday.
Police said that they were called to the producer’s apartment on Thursday to do a welfare check. And say that they don’t suspect that foul play is involved in his passing.
“He was found dead in his Martin St apt this afternoon by officers performing a welfare check,” Police said in a statement caught by Rolling Stone. “His death is unclassified pending autopsy results.”
Tay Keith had become a staple in the hip-hop community. His “Tay Keith f**k these n****s up” producer tag became well-known around the industry. After producing hit records like Travis Scott and Drake’s Sicko Mode, Sexyy Red’s Pound Town, and Lil Baby and Gunna’s Never Recover.
May he rest in peace.
