Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was able to avoid the more serious charges of racketeering and trafficking in his federal trial. But unfortunately, he was found guilty on the prostitution charges related to Jane Doe and his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
King Combs Pens Heartfelt Character Letter to Judge for Diddy
Diddy will soon learn his fate. He is scheduled to be sentenced on the aforementioned charges on October 3. And as his sentencing looms, character letters written to the judge by those closest to him have begun to roll in.
One of the character letters written to Judge Arun Subramanian came from Diddy’s son, King Combs. In his plea to the judge, King notes that he and his family have been victims of “discrimination” and “dehumanization.” And for that reason, he believes that it is time for his dad to finally come home.
“I’m asking you to please let my father out of jail!” he wrote in the letter as heard through Us Weekly. “He does not deserve to be there. And I know this from the bottom of my heart!! We have been through a year of lies and discrimination. And dehumanization and loneliness and separation and extreme stress on the family.”
The letter also adds:
“This is my dad, and he is the best father in the whole world,” the letter continues. “He has never ever taught me anything but to treat people with the most respect possible, and to never be entitled and to always work for what I want, and to treat people with love and kindness, most importantly!”
Had Diddy been convicted of the trafficking and racketeering charges, he could have been sentenced to life in prison. So he has already scored a major legal victory. However, the prostitution charges could still land him behind bars for up to ten years. It will be interesting to see what the judge decides.
