It appeared that Megan Thee Stallion and NBA star Klay Thompson were heading down the aisle after they went public with their relationship in 2025. Megan spent Thanksgiving with Klay and his family in 2025, and they even appeared to move in together. But that all changed in an instant, and one source explained to the Daily Mail why.
Source Reveals Reason Behind Klay & Megan’s Split
When speaking to the outlet over the weekend, the source said that Klay began to get annoyed with Megan’s
“‘He was like, “She was just so ghetto. I was over the ghettoness. The way she speaks, the way she acts,” the source alleged that Thompson said.
However, Thompson allegedly still saw a future with the WAP creator. And has even purchased a multi-million dollar home for them to live together. But once he was off from the NBA season, he began to really feel her absence. The source also claimed that the four-time NBA champion often felt neglected by his then-girlfriend as a result.
“He kind of felt abandoned by her,” the source added. “He went to all of these places to support her, and then when he was off over the summer, she was nowhere to be found. He felt like she never made an effort.”
In addition, Klay allegedly began to feel overwhelmed by Megan’s paranoia stemming from her 2020 shooting incident with Tory Lanez. The source says that it also put a strain on their relationship.
The source also claimed Thompson said, “‘She always felt like people were out to get her.” She needs security everywhere, even in remote places.'”
At the time of writing, neither Klay nor Megan has spoken out about the report.
