A $10 million lawsuit filed against Kodak Black in connection to a 2022 Super Bowl LVI weekend shooting has officially been dropped — and cannot be refiled.
The incident occurred on February 12, 2022, outside The Nice Guy during an after-party event reportedly hosted by Justin Bieber. During the altercation, Kodak was shot in the leg. Two bystanders, identified as Mark Schaefer and Adam Rahman, were also injured in the chaos.
Schaefer and Rahman later sued Kodak, alleging that he escalated the situation, which they claimed ultimately led to gunfire. Bieber was initially named in the lawsuit as well but was dismissed from the case months after it was filed.
According to Kodak’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, the case lacked merit from the beginning. In a statement to TMZ, Cohen strongly criticized the lawsuit, asserting that his client would not be paying any settlement and describing the case as baseless. He also noted that Kodak chose not to pursue attorney’s fees after the dismissal.
With the lawsuit now permanently dropped, the legal chapter tied to that Super Bowl weekend incident appears to be officially closed.
